Youth Program
The purpose of the Youth Program is to provide them with the means to continue in school, the tools to return to school, offer them services in a coordinated way that help them in the transition from school to work and develop their potential for employability.
The ALDL / Ponce will prioritize youth who have one or more of the following barriers to employment:
School dropout.
Young person who has not attended school during the last school semester.
He completed his fourth year but:
is deficient in basic skills.
is in the process of learning English.
Offender (juvenile or adult court systems).
Homeless, escaped, in foster care.
Ambulantes (leaving home, runaway).
Pregnant or young raising minors.
Young man with disabilities.
Low income and requires additional assistance to enter and / or complete an educational program or to obtain and retain employment.
